How often do I receive invitations to participate?
So, in order to manage your expectations, you can expect to receive on average 1 to 4 tests per month in your inbox. Of course, this will depend on the profile and needs of our customers and may vary depending on the circumstances.
How long will the projects last? How much time do I need to plan?
Actual testing time depends on the product type and test methods used. Generally speaking, you can expect to spend no more than 10 minutes completing a web survey. In-home testing may take longer, depending on the product that is being tested.
How will I be invited to participate in studies?
One of two things will prompt you to participate: either you receive an email from us inviting you to answer the qualifying questions, or you receive a request on our private Facebook page. In either case, the next step is the same: you are informed whether or not you are eligible to participate in the study.
What are the eligibility criteria to participate in studies?
Before you start a test, you will be asked to answer one or more screener questions. Each study has different eligibility criteria depending on the research needs. Based on the answers to the specific project questions, you will be informed whether or not you can participate in the study.
The answers you provide to screener questions are strictly confidential and none of your personal data (including your name or email) is revealed to the client or any other third party.
I answer screener/profiler questions and then see nothing in my account. How come?
The variety of clients and studies do not necessitate the need for us to hold on to your answers beyond the actual study. We use these screener questions only to establish your eligibility for the given study. If you meet the criteria, you will proceed to take the test. If not, another participant will be notified.

During a home test, can I keep the product that I am testing?
Absolutely. As a home tester, you often get to keep the products you test, especially if it’s something that you need to eat. Rest assured that the details and conditions of the study are clearly described upfront.
Do I need to renew my membership?
No. Once you enrol in our Community of Participants, you will not need to renew your subscription.
Are there different levels of membership?
No. Based on the number of studies that you participate in, you earn rewards. There are no levels of participants — everyone gets a similar opportunity.
How do I convert my rewards into gift cards?
With every participation in a study, you accumulate a certain number of points. You can then purchase a gift card directly online through our inBe app. Gifts cards are available from major retailers such as Best Buy, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and Amazon but you can also choose to redeem for a Visa card. Their value ranges from $5 to $50. The gift cards are virtual, so they are received by email, but there is the possibility of having a physical card, for a nominal fee for shipping and handling. Also, there are several gift card drawings of up to $250 for in-home testing, for example, and direct compensation for studies like co-creation.
